The Halifax historic waterfront is pedestrian and family friendly with a magnificent boardwalk stretching 3.8 km from the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 (toward the harbour approaches) to Casino Nova Scotia. HMCS Sackville is located midway on the boardwalk amongst a wide range of attractions, historical markers, monuments and eateries.
